Thanksgiving, BIG TIME Style
Not that funny, but it gets you in the spirit doesn't it?
Theres something great about tradition. I'm not much for Peanuts cartoons normally, but when its late November, they should be a requirement. As an Andre Johnson owner, I kind of feel like Charlie after Lucy team Suck for Luck traded him to me two hours before the Matt Schaub news was released. Well played Troy..... well played.
It was a down week for scoring but for the second week in a row we have flip-flopped leaders. The Hunk Hoisters are back in the driver's seat for now with a half game lead over his opponent, RIP Al Davis. Despite Rob Gronkowski's attempts to score 60 points by himself on Monday night, team RIP fell short in a 110-84 loss. Philly's ConVicks, BigTime Johnson, Donkey Power and Team Suck for Luck also came up with victories this week. Donkey Power and yes, Team Suck for Luck are now the hottest teams in the league with 3 straight victories. Formerly undefeated Team Minus has now lost 3 straight.
With 3 weeks left the playoff race continues to get interesting. Incredibly enough, Team Suck for Luck and Philly's ConVicks are still mathematically in the playoff race if either can finish 7-7.
WEEK 11: Awards
Owner of the week: The Hunk Hoisters (110pts)
It was no 139, but it got the job done and got him a win in the game of the week. HH had serious bye issues to deal with, but certainly showed the depth of his team this week.
Player of the week: Matthew Stafford, 29pts (Hunk Hoisters)
Matt threw for 300+ yards and 5 touchdowns to redeem himself against the Panthers. He's a top 5 quarterback this year in fantasy points.
[Honorable Mention: Ray Rice, 26pts]
Double-take Award: Nate Washington, 23pts (ConVicks)
Great game for Washington. The ConVicks were wise enough to hold on to him, but had him on the bench this week.
[Honorable Mention: Jay Cutler, 24pts]
Coaching move of the week: Hunk Hoisters
Added Mike Williams (TB) from free agency who had 14 points in his WR3 spot.
Special Teams Award: Patriots D, 22pts (CJ2YPC)
It wasn't enough to get Casey a win, but his patriots preyed upon Tyler Palko in his first career NFL start on Monday night.
[Honorable Mention: 49ers D, 16pts]
The Weekly Haha Award: Greg Jennings, Brandon Marshall, Wes Welker and Chris Johnson (0,0,2,2 respectively)
I feel like calling everyone out this week. The playoffs are coming up soon and we can't have this out of our stars during crunchtime!
I always valued hilarity over tradition.
==========================
There are some incredible games for once this Thanksgiving, so make sure you prime your lineup beforehand and enjoy them. Enjoy your family, eat lots of turkey this weekend and make sure to watch a game or two. Happy Thanksgiving!
