    Chips rivals Marshall & Gumbo go at in this weeks Game of the Week.  Marshall is surging and won his past 2 while Gumbo has dropped a pair after starting 5-1.  Marshall will be without his leader Matt Stafford who is on bye.  Gumbo is at relatively full strength.  Each team has had the higher score half of the first 8 weeks.  I like the Jumbo to pour some spicy chowder down the throat of team Marshall.  ..that means they win.

Week 7 Recap- Get the IR ready

    In a week riddled with injury, we've lost Reggie Wayne and most likely Jermichael Finley for the year already, with others such as Doug Martin, James Jones and Jay Cutler highly questionable.  With all the injuries and bye weeks to deal with, it has certainly been a battle of attrition that has decided many of our match ups.  Here's the rankings through 7 weeks.

Week 8 GOTW-  Hunk Hoisters (3-4) @ Jumbo Gumbo (5-2)

    The big soup battle the hunk in week 8 with the Gumbo at close to full strength.  The hoisters will have Andre Johnson, Arian Foster and Chris Johnson out for the bye.  Despite those odds, I like what this Hunk guy is trying to do and I'll say he throws down triple digits in a win this week versus the first place Gumbo.

Week 6 Recap- SkinsWillDOMINATEyou!2014

    Bells and whistles?  Tricks and shenanigans?  Ancient blasters and hokey religions?? The skins appear to be no hoax, no fad, and are moving up once again in our power rankings.  For the first time this year someone wins owner of the week twice in as many weeks.  A certain D. Davis..... wait, no thats too obvious.... David D.  is king of the week and earned another weekly trophy.

Week 7 GOTW-  TeamOtt (4-2) @ BigTimeJohnson (4-2)

    2 great 4-2 teams matchup for a cross-division rivalry.  I think Lynch has an off game and McCoy goes for 20 in a Johnson win Big-Time style.

Week 5 Recap- SkinsDidWin 2014

     The SkinsWillWin2014 made sure of a victory this weekend by putting up a masculine 153 points and deserve the headline for this week.  Romo outplayed Peyton Manning for 56 minutes and really upped his fantasy stock in the process.
     Quite a few good games this weekend including a 1 point victory by the 4-1 Jumbo Gumbo.  The Big Soup from Georgia is making the most of his points each week by winning small yet continuous, calculated victories.  But there are two sides to every story.  And the side you will hear today is that small, less heard voice coming from the losing locker room.  Yes head honcho for the Fumblers also made a powerful and moving statement regarding the razor-thin and 85-84 point outcome in the post-game press conference.

You could argue both deserved to win the football game.  I have had the privilege as the owner of this fantasy football program to face my players win or lose and look 'em in the eye and feel how proud I am of the work they put forth and the effort they gave tonight, AND TO MAKE A PLAY on the 1 yardline, WITH THEIR BACKS AGAINST THE WALL; CLEAR TO EVERYBODY AND HAVE IT TAKEN AWAY FROM THEM!!!   THATS HARD TO EXPRESS!!  YOU DON'T JUST PUT AN ARM AROUND A GUY AND TELL HIM ITS OKAY WHEN THAT HAPPENS TO HIM!!!!!  SO PROUD OF THE EFFORT MY KIDS GAVE TO WIN THIS FOOTBALL GAME TONIGHT!

     Not a dry eye to be found in the pressroom concluding the emotional and heartfelt speech from the Fumblers leader.  He is not available for further comment until conclusion of the pending litigation from Iowa State coach Paul Rhoads.

Week 6 GOTW-  SkinsWillWin2014 (3-2) @ FBM (2-3)

    ForgettingBrandonMarshall finds himself in a 2nd GoTW after winning his last.  This time against a tougher foe coming off a ridiculous 153 point outburst.  The thursday night game will play a huge role in determining this matchup's outcome.  I like the Skins this week thanks to cushy matchups for Romo, Morris and Davis.

Week 4 Recap- Johnson rises

    Team Ott and Jumbo Gumbo were the early story of the 2013 BTFF season.  Through 4 weeks, two other teams have taken their place as the Fumblers and BigTime Johnson now lead the Power Rankings.  Johnson made a raging comeback Sunday night vs. the Hoisters eek out a 4-point victory thanks to 64 points out of his last 3 starters.  The Fumblers have also stayed hot winning with 121 points.  Gumbo free falls 4 spots to #6 and Forgetting Brandon Marshall is now the cellar dweller.

What some are calling the toilet bowl will reward the winner with a respectable 2-3 record.  The dreaded minus will lose Greg Jennings and RG3-and-out to the bye.  Forgetting Brandon Marshall will have to forget #1 pick Doug Martin whom they also lose to the bye.  I like FBM, sans muscle hamster, in the battle of the poo.
