Weekend Update: Forgetting Brandon Marshall??

The majority of games are in the books for this week 2 matchup.  Injuries seemed to be the theme of the weekend.  Jamaal Charles, AJ Green, Knowshon Moreno, Ryan Matthews, Vernon Davis, Robert Griffin III and DeSean Jackson all left the game with at least moderate injuries and may or may not be back for week 3.  Three teams already have victories locked up in my book with two more to be determined Monday Night.  Here's the breakdown.

  • Lead-pipe Locks
-My Team Minus 69, Jumbo Gumbo 42
You can move both teams to 1-1 with this one as each team has a 2nd tier wide receiver still to play tonight.   It was a pathetic display of offense if you ask me, although scoring was down throughout the league.  I may have to check the records to see where 42 falls on the all time list.

-FKA Favre 87, Skinswillwin2014 78
Favre has this one locked up too, assuming TY Hilton can score more than -9.  This moves FKA Favre to 1-1 and puts Ian on pace to match his fantasy baseball team.  The Skins contended, but its tough to win with 6 points out of your runningbacks.

-Hunk Hoisters 107, Men of Troy 86
With Andrew Luck starting tonight, Hunk will try and pad his lead and grab the weekly scoring record from the Fumblers.  The Men of Troy have expired, however, topping out at 86 points.  Troy would have pushed triple digits himself if it were not for AJ Green playing only a few snaps.  Hunk moves to 2-0, the Men of Troy level at 1-1.
  • Hail Mary
ISU Jekyll & Hyde 64, Forgetting BM 56
Casey still has a chance in this matchup, but its slight with TE Zach Ertz going for him.  He scored 13 last week however Jekyll & Hyde should tac on another 8 points or so from his kicker.  I buried the lead here though as CASEY FORGETS TO START BRANDON MARSHALL!!!! For the record, I would've been all over this headline if it wasn't already his team name. Brandon Marshall goes on to score 3 touchdowns in the game and a painful 22 points.  I have a feeling Casey won't be forgetting his captain again anytime soon.
ISU Jekyll & Hyde win chance = 88%
  • Up for Grabs
BigTime Johnson 82, Fumblers 68
BTJ has no players remaining at 82 points.  Fumblers have both of his eagle runningbacks going tonight at will attempt to run down team BTJ.  ESPN predicts a 102-82 victory for the Fumblers, but then again, I doubt ESPN could predict what quarterback is starting tonight for the Colts.  I like the Fumblers to pull this one out, but they aint gettin' no 102.
BigTime Johnson win chance = 34%

Iowa State Jekyll & Hyde join the mix.

The freshly christened Iowa State Jekll and Hyde's are just in time for week 1 kickoff.  And who better to lead the ISU J&K's than the man himself, week one 24 point scorer Marshawn Lynch. Yes $47 dollar runningback Marshawn "beast mode" Lynch was well worth his salary after his Thursday night showing and appears to be a strong #1 runningback going forward.  Lynch seems like a nice enough guy, until he flips a switch and goes
***BEAST MODE***
What a perfect captain for Iowa State Jekyll and Hyde.  On that note, just for you Ben my runningback Carlos Hyde is on the trading block.
