Well thats it for 60% of the league. As the regular season wrapped up Monday night, the top 4 favored teams were able to hang on. Never though, could we have predicted just how close the degree of separation was between Donkey Power and Big Time Johnson. As some of you know, late Monday night team Johnson still had a chance to slide into the fourth spot. And of course Johnson's fate eventually rested on the success or failure of Marshawn Lynch. BT Johnson ended up losing his game 92-91 and falling down to the 5 seed. Lynch even had a botched hand-off at the end of the game that was nearly credited to him as a fumble. Really, it couldn't have been any closer. In another close game, My Team - swindled err, squeaked his way to another 1-point victory. This time snatching victory from the jaws of defeat sometime Monday night or Tuesday morning after I was pretty sure I already won.
Congratulations to RIP Al Davis. His week to week domination and consistency lends him the top seed. Not an easy accomplishment in a league like the BIG TIME. Lets get some quick weekly awards handed out.
WEEK 14: Awards
Owner of the week: CJ2 YPC (107pts)
Its a shame Casey's lineup came together so late in the season, but no one was better in week 14. CJ2 YPC did it all and was led by their star Tom Brady. Team CJ2YPC truly went out in style, by winning the Coach of the week award and the hypothetical Andrew Luck Sweepstakes. I guess the #2 pick, Team Favre, will have to settle for RG III.
Player of the week: MJD, 37pts (Hunk Hoisters)
Not 1, not 2, not 3, but FOUR Touchdowns for everyone's favorite oompa-loompa. MJD has been spectacular the past 5 weeks. After a slow start to the season, Jones-Drew is now the 3rd highest scoring RB.
[Honorable Mention: Tony Romo, 28pts]
Double-take Award: Mark Sanchez 25pts (Big Time Johnson)
Sanchez had a decent day and then added 2 rushing touchdowns. Or as were going to soon start calling them, two Cam Newtons.
